Donating cryptocurrency
Donating cryptocurrency is safe, easy and tax-efficient.
Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Foundation accepts gifts of cryptocurrency in partnership with Classy and Coinbase. Gifts of cryptocurrency of any amount can be made in Bitcoin, Ethereum or USD Coin.
To make a contribution, please go to our donation page here and click ‘Donate Crypto’ at the top of the page. You will receive a tax receipt from Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Foundation (Federal Tax ID: 85-4129850). Your gift will automatically be converted from cryptocurrency to US dollars, retaining the value of your donation.
Your donation does not trigger capital-gains tax and is tax-deductible. Gifts of cryptocurrency cannot be used to satisfy pledges for costs that bring the donor a specific benefit such as event tables, tickets, raffles, or auction items.
